Support
The’Salat · a community prayer companion
The’Salat is a free community prayer companion showing the real jama’ah times set by nearby masjids. Support is handled right inside the app, there’s nothing to sign up for.
Get help or send feedback
Open the app and go to Settings → Help & support, then choose:
- Contact us: questions or anything else.
- Suggest a masjid: add a masjid to the directory.
- Report a wrong time: tell us if a jama’ah time looks off.
- Report a bug: something not working as expected.
You can optionally include your email if you’d like a reply.
For masjid committees
If you help run a masjid, this is the quickest way to get your jama’ah times in front of everyone who opens The’Salat nearby. No account, no forms to sign, no waiting on us to find your website.
- Open the app and find your masjid in Nearby masjids. Search by name or by address if it is further down the list.
- Tap Suggest its times, or Report a wrong time if it already has times that need correcting.
- Fill in the whole schedule in one go: adhan and iqamah for all five prayers, and Jumu’ah. A masjid with two khutbahs can enter both.
- Send it. We check it and publish it, and from then on the app reads your published schedule again each week so seasonal changes follow on their own.
If your masjid is not in the directory at all, use Suggest a masjid in Settings → Help & support and tell us its name and address. Jazakum Allahu khayran.
Common questions
Where do the times come from? Each masjid’s own committee, not calculated estimates. Every schedule is read again each week from what that masjid publishes, and checked against the position of the sun at that masjid’s own coordinates before it goes live. If a time still looks wrong, please use “Report a wrong time”.
Do I need an account? No. The’Salat has no accounts, no ads, and no tracking, and it’s free for everyone.
Location? Optional, used only to find nearby masjids and to show how far away they are. The app works without it, though the widget needs it before it can tell you when to leave.
How do I add the widget? Press and hold an empty part of your home screen, tap Edit then Add Widget, and search for TheSalat. The small widget shows the next iqamah; the medium one adds your masjid, the adhan, when to leave, and a Directions button.
Why is it called The’Salat? “The Salat” and “TheSalat” were both already taken in App Store search, so the name carries one mark in order to be found. On your home screen the app simply reads TheSalat.
My masjid isn’t listed. Tap it in the “More nearby” section and choose Suggest its times, or use Suggest a masjid in Settings, we’ll add it, in shā’ Allāh. See For masjid committees above for the full steps.
